Rotax 503 duel ducati ignition c/w carb.

503 duel ducati igni £300

This engine is now sold.....

A lowish hours Rotax 503 di engine with just over 300hrs on it....it was fitted new to a 1993 reg Flexwing trike...and is a fan cooled unit.

Has a good crank that I kept an eye on and tested regularly for pin and conrod wear with a Skydrive CCBC tester...last reading I got was 0.04mm which is well within limits

It does req attention which is why I removed it from my a/c in 2011 and has been stored in a dry loft in my home...with all opening plugged up.

It suffered a cold seize...due to my mistake in not letting it warm properly.

It will req 1 new +60 piston and prob a replacement cylinder...there are 2 spare +60 cylinders with it...but they will req checking by an engineer to see if they are service able.

As Skydrive had an offer on the 503s at the time I bought a new one and kept this one for the valuable spare parts it has of which none where req.

The mating piston is a newish Rotax part with around 100hrs on it.

Wont take much to put this engine back into service and comes c/w carb and brand new recoil starter that was not req on the new engine that replaced it.

So if you need a electronic ignition 503...this is an easy one to sort out

Selling it now as I have just sold the a/c and dont need a source of spares anymore.
