SSDR - Pegasus XL-Q Flexwing United Kingdom
Pegasus XL-Q Flexwing
Registered as SSDR
Very economical Rotax 462 with Arplast prop.
Airframe 767 hours, engine 788 hours.
Needs some TLC - The engine could do with a de-coke, and the sailcloth needs some repairs.
Most importantly, there is a tear in the webbing that runs along the trailing edge of the wing (see photo). I am told the repair should be a relatively simple job, however, because of the loading on the trailing edge, this repair *MUST* be done before the aircraft is flown.
There is a temporary patch on the lower port-side wing, as something has nibbled a hole whilst in the hangar over winter, and a small hole in one of the batten pockets which makes it difficult to insert the batten, and could also do with repair.
The sailcloth needs to be removed and sent to a microlight sailmaker for the repairs (for example, Top Flight Sails). I've been meaning to do this, but simply not got around to it, due to lack of time.
Comes with lots of paper work, including old log books and service history.
Also, some spares / accessories, including:
- Decoke gasket set, water pump gaskets, exhaust gaskets
- Brand new Keywest regulator / rectifier (never got around to fitting)
- Ignition parts (contacts, caps), fuel pump parts, spark plugs, exhaust springs, split rings, starter rope, fuel filter, K&N air filter cleaner
- Spare wheel hub, three new tyres and tubes.
- Batten profiles
- Prop pitch setting tool
Although it is SSDR, I would strongly recommend inspection by a BMAA inspector.
Located near Horsham, West Sussex.
Priced to sell £1200
I also have a couple of flying suits, Lynx helmets, Microavionics headsets and intercom for sale separately.
