this is the top panel
T Hangar for sale. The width is 30 feet and the depth is 24 feet. Currently at Bodmin Airfield, Cornwall. EGLA
I built the hangar 5 years ago in my workshop using box profile steel sheets. Fixed to timber frames. The hangar was formed in sections (4 X 12' panels for the sides and 3 X 10' panels for the width). The panels and pre-formed timber/ply trusses were then transported to the airfield and everything was bolted together in kit form. The panels are secured via bolts into steel box section legs (which are concreted into the ground).
The front doors are 15' per pair which bi-fold into 7'6" panels. The doors are hung on hinges fixed to 4 inch box steel posts which run some 5’ above the hangar eaves. Threaded bar then ties in the posts and front truss to stop the front of the hangar from sagging.
The hangar is insulated with jablite panels and has a half inch ply floor.
There’s a workshop area with bench and units. And a free settee!
The hangar cost me about £4,000 to build. Excluding labour costs.
The buyer will need to dismantle the hangar (I’m happy to explain how the ‘airfix kit’ comes apart and transport it to their site.
