After owning and flying this historic two seater wooden glider for nearly 35 years, it has been reluctantly decided to sell it. It is believed that it is the oldest Govier in the world and the only one of its type still airworthy.-
This Govier was built in1943 by wolf Hirth and Martin Schemp in Germany to train the luftwaffe pilots to fly during World War 2 and it is the history of this particular Govier which makes it so desirable.
It would be our intention to sell the Govier to an enthusiast who would lovingly care for this historic machine as well as to continue to fly it in the true pioneering tradition. The Govier is recognised as being an historic monument and therefore the owners will only part with it for an offer reflecting its true historical value.
Offers are invited by writing to jan_arnold1@hotmail.com, and further information and inspection of this beautiful historic piece of wartime heritage can also be arranged by contacting me at the above address.
