Quantum 15 912 for sale or swap for a Quik (with cash your way)
Engine: 1236 hours
Airframe: 1138 hours
(Difference is owing to warming time)
I use it every week if the weather's good, so these hours will increase.
All in very good condition.
Permit expires at the end of March, 2014.
Just had a gearbox service by Airmasters.
200h service recently completed.
Features:
-Analogue dials for Airspeed, Fuel, Altitude and Ascent/Descent Rate
-Compass
-Flydat, all working correctly
-Morris touring screen (plus original screen)
-Microavionics interface
-110kg seat load
-Trike cover, prop covers and wing bag
-Training bars
-Factory fitted radio antenna
-Landing light
-Pegasus pod bag (fits under the pilot's legs, in front of the fuel tank), which holds spares and tie downs
In the last few months it has had:
New stainless exhaust springs from P&M.
New P&M aluminium radiator, to replace the original (now outdated plastic ended one). The old one was showing signs of corrosion so it seemed like a good idea to replace it.
New Varta battery (12V, 11Ah, as now supplied by P&M), to replace the 8Ah original. This gives much better starting in the cold, as it has 230A cold crank, rather than 80A. I've been flying it a lot recently in the snow, and the new battery has made starting very easy.
I've recently replaced the oil (with AeroShell Sport Plus 4) , Rotax oil filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs.
Four new EGT probes.
New bridle cables from P&M.
New front tyre and inner tube a few months ago. I've also got two new rears for when they need replacing. (All are the heavy duty type: Michelin P-83.)
Nikwaxed sail.
All service bulletins up to date. Log book very thorough. Full service history.
In 2007 (at 1003 engine hours) several parts were replaced with new by P&M following a roll in a field after landing. Most of the lifed parts were replaced and a complete inspection of the aircraft and wing was carried out by P&M at this time. I have a comprehensive invoice showing everything that was replaced, which includes most of the trike.
Flies beautifully. Cruises hands off at 65mph and uses around 9 litres per hour of fuel. All pressures and temps as they should be. Within the last few weeks I've done eight flights of over 90 miles each, with no issues whatsover.
I am not selling any helmets or my radio with the aircraft, as I am planning on buying a Quik. I have a trailer, which could be used for delivery, but I do not plan on selling the trailer with the aircraft I'm afraid.
The aircraft is located at Deenethorpe, Northants and is hangared fully rigged.
email richlowndes@hotmail.com or phone 07878593289 if interested. I will happily take you for a test flight if the weather's ok.
I have lots more photos if you want them.
I have just made a (rather boring) video of a walk around the aircraft. Here it is:

Or if you wish to do a swap I'm looking for a Quik or similar.
Thanks
