Three-axis Microlights, For Sale | CFM Metal-Fax, Shadow Series CD
THREE-AXIS MICROLIGHT, SHADOW SERIES CD, FOR SALE
Ill health, and consequent financial problems forces the sale of this Shadow CD. Formerly registered G-MYWF, the aircraft is de-registered at the moment. It belonged to the late Mike Newman. Newman was a specialist in composite materials, and developed his own composite undercarriage for this aircraft, which was given formal approval (MAAN 1476).
Engine is Rotax 503 dual ignition. Fitted three-blade ground adjustable-pitch propeller. Aircraft built November 1995, Serial Number 248, total hours currently 346. The aircraft last flew in August 2006, and the Permit to Fly expired in July 2007. The aircraft has since always been stored in a dry, concrete-floored hangar.
Comes with slipper tank, ICOM VHF radio and headsets, and full instrument fit as shown on photos. As well as engine and aircraft logbooks, Pilots Notes and Service Manual also included.
This machine is in basically sound condition, but will obviously require some work to restore to Permit condition. This represents an opportunity to acquire very reasonably, an example of the CFM Metal-Fax Shadow, widely regarded as one of the best 3-axis microlights ever designed. Hangared near Cambridge.
Asking £3500 or offers.
