Richard Foster CFI and co-founder of Flight Sport Aviation is offering Advanced Overseas Navigation training in Spain from November onwards in our Ikarus C42B.
We recognise that the navigation training in the syllabus does not cover all aspects required for touring. This course is designed to teach and the build the students confidence in flying long distances and practice things that you may not do on a flight around your local area.
Richard is highly experienced pilot and instructor with many hours of overseas touring. Regularly flying in many countries in Europe, last year he was the first person to fly a fixed wing Microlight from the UK mainland to Cape Town and back, a distance of 17000 miles, taking almost three months.
The Advanced Overseas Navigation course will include the following:
-Flight planning
-Filing flight plans
-International airspace
-Advanced radio work
-Crossing international boarders
-Flying outside UK airspace
The Advanced Navigation Training will be based at the Requena Airfield in Valencia, Spain. The route will include the stunning countryside in the South of Spain to Gibraltar and then on through Portugal and back to Spain. The student is more than welcome to have an input on our route and destinations. Usually course duration is 10 hours over 2 to 3 days.
Flights from Gatwick to Valencia via Easyjet.
