1952 Hiller UH12 B/C Fully refurbished in 2004 including new (not re-con) 210 BHP Franklin engine and main rotor blades.
Imported into the UK shortly after as a 'spare' where it was flown very occasionally. Last annual was in 2006 and has been in hangar storage ever since.
Last year I took it out and cleaned it up. It started on the button (aux power) and I hover taxi'd up and down the strip for around 20 minutes. Fly's exactly like a 'proper' helicopter should and a real pleasure. There is something very special about flying these period machines, if you have ever had stick time on a Hiller or Bell 47 you will know exactly what I mean!
A rare opportunity to acquire a very low hours machine with all major components in excellent condition. Will need an appropriate overhaul, new battery, rubber hoses etc. annual and paperwork re-instate the FAA registration.

The UH12 has just two time limited components which are in the tail rotor assembly. All other parts are on condition. This keeps ownership costs to a minimum.
At the time this re-manufactured aircraft was imported they were being sold for £96,000. This is a real bargain!
