Narrative
First question to be answered - why am I selling? Simple - building a new Nynja as part of a Syndicate.
History
I built the aircraft myself and have owned it ever since. It has always been hangared (except if away from base on an extended trip). I have always maintained the aircraft properly and maintenance is logged and all modifications properly documented and approved. The original black and yellow Dacron skins were replaced with Xlam coverings in May 2014 by Airmasters. (see next paragraph).
In August 2018, the aircraft was damaged in a “less than perfect landing” by a friend and rebuilt by Flylight at Sywell. It flew again in March 2019 after the rebuild. Ironically, this means that quite a bit of the aircraft is comparatively new despite it’s apparent age. The main replacement items include a new windscreen, 2 x new Xlam wing skins, new nose leg and main gear legs, 3 new propellor blades, new upper and lower cowlings. A full list is recorded with the aircraft documentation. Gearbox received a 600hr service as part of the shock-load test.
I really don’t need to extol the virtues of a Skyranger - it has earned its own great reputation. GOKIM has taken me around a lot of the UK and across the sea to France and the Scilly Isles. It has done so in safety, comfort and reliability and I will be sorry to see her go. The 80hp/longer wing option was chosen by me in preference to the shorter wing/100hp version as the 912S was still “settling down” at the time I started the build. I have never regretted the combination I chose.
The asking price reflects the hours flown, general good condition and newness of many parts fitted.
