SOLD 22/11/19
I bought this trike with a view to building a sub70 by fitting a paramotor engine , but I have too many projects on the go and am having a clear out!
This is a Chaser SX 110 wing and trike. Both are significantly lighter than later Chaser S parts and so lend themselves well to a sub 70 build.
The trike is in great condition for its age. the engine mounting frame is stainless steel - so is light and no rust.
The wing is slower and lighter than a Chaser S. It is structurally in fair condition, but when I test flew it, the tips stalled at about 50mph and so needs a professional overhaul before I would class it as safe.
THIS IS A WARNING - DO NOT ATTEMPT O FLY THIS WING BEFORE IT HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY ASSESSED.
That said, when sorted, these wings are renown for their light handling and Nigel Beale told me it was his favourite Chaser wing to fly.
I paid £1400 for these - but with hindsight, I was robbed!
For sale - £500.
This summer, I also bought what was described as a low hours Rotax 377 with wooden prop for £450 via AFORS. These would be too heavy for a sub70 - but I would include these for an extra £150 (engine £100 / prop £50). I have never tried to start this engine.
