BirdAir is a non-equity flying group looking for new members to join. Based at Redhill Aerodrome, Surrey the group operates one of the most advanced single engine aircraft around: a 3-year-old Diamond DA40 New Generation! This aircraft offers great performance, superb visibility and a state-of-the-art glass cockpit with reliable dual Garmin 1000 with a fully integrated Garmin GFC 700 digital autopilot as well as many other features.

Ideally pilots must have logged a minimum of 100 hours total time in a fixed wing piston aircraft to join the group (this can include PU/T time). There is a flying school based at Redhill Aerodrome that assist with the required 5 hour conversion to glass cockpit/transition training for those that require it.
£180 monthly fee
£150 per hour wet
The hourly cost is based on take-off to landing time (not off/on blocks times).
Landing fees and circuits at Redhill are payable in addition to this (£24 and £12 respectively).
