Nice Chevron motor Glider: Have spent many pleasant hours flying this graceful a/c over the summers of 2018/19 and had fully intended to continue this year but for you-know-what and I could not return from Australia as planned and 2021's looking a bit doubtful too. SO ... very reluctantly I'm putting it up for sale, or rather almost giving it away at 2950!
It's about 44ft span and is currently ssdr. Engine is a Konig 4 cylinder radial of about 30hp. It starts instantly with the electric starter and altho' quite high hours has never missed a beat. Burns about 8 or 9L/Hr, takes off in 200m and can land quite short with lift dumper flaps/spoilers. Unusually, the wings are swept FORWARD 4* which apparently helps locate the c/g. Has basic flight instruments and a previous owner installed individual cyl' temp gauges and rev counter. Has twin fuel tanks of about 40L+ tho' one is currently isolated.
Only about 40 of these were ever made but there are two at my field and another a few miles away! It's sitting safely in its trailer ready to be towed away and if everything goes right it can be assembled under half an hr with 2 (pref 3) people. I used to leave it rigged for the summer.Located SE Wales near Usk.
Obviously I can't show you over it but the pics should give you a good idea and I'm happy to answer any further queries. At only 2950 you may have to be quick!
