NEW DESIGN, Oil filter adapter for O-200 Continental engines

Hi, Thanks for stopping by.

I have been busy in the workshop again and come up with a new design, pictures shows the large Champion oil filter however you can also fit the smaller LAA approved oil filter for a lighter installed weight.

The oil filter adapter is approved by the LAA via the E05 TADS route.
Just install it and have your inspector sign it off.

I have now produced a further 10 oil filter adapter kits (as of Nov 2025) I am currently going to hold the price for this batch.

This compact design allows the adapter and filter (smaller automotive filter ADT32109) with out having to cut the engine cowls of a J3 Cub (O-200) and similar aircraft.

It mounts on to the oil cooler pad on the rear left hand side of the engine.

Made from 6082-T6 Aluminium, weight 320g plus filter (ADT32109)

This adapter will fit where there is no vertical tube between the upper and lower engine mount on the left hand side.
