We are looking for an experienced GA Aircraft Maintenance Fitter to join our team. Herefordshire Aero Club has operated for 60 years as a flying club and now as an Approved Training Organisation. We have a fleet of 5 training aircraft and a large customer base at the airfield requiring routine and ad hoc maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification on a wide range of aircraft including brands such as Cirrus; Cessna and Piper. These tasks will be overseen by our licensed engineer.
You will have previous GA aircraft maintenance experience, be a good communicator and preferably have a good working knowledge of some or all of the aircraft types we handle. Your flexibility in moving from one task to another and your professional outlook will be key to your success.
The Job
To properly carry out maintenance and other aircraft tasks as detailed in, and in compliance with the appropriate aircraft and other technical documentation.
To inspect aircraft for defects and produce an accurate defect list.
To record task maintenance data, record maintenance tasks and complete the required documentation.
To follow HAC health, safety and environmental procedures and policies.
We will consider experienced former military aircraft maintenance engineers depending on their experience.
Salary will be dictated by your experience.
