FOR SALE. Quantum Leap 912.
A nice low-hours, clean and tidy example of the popular Quantum 912 flex-wing type that has been recently upgraded to Leap specification by Robin at RKAT Ltd.
With 447 airframe hours and 532 engine hours, this aircraft has a significantly increased ‘hands off’ trim-speed range of 45-70mph while retaining the docile handling characteristics of the original design. Occupants are better protected at the higher airspeed by the one-piece Leap windscreen.
The aircraft also benefits from a recent RKAT Ltd installation of a Yaesu 833Khz radio and Lynx radio/power interface with BMAA mod approval, as well as 12VDC and 5V USB power sockets (P&M mod approved) ready for additional equipment fit.
Maintenance is all up to date on the aircraft and documented, the Permit to Fly revalidated on 06/04/22. The original specification sail has been carefully Betts tested to a value 25% in excess of the required 1360gms applied load and found to be in sound condition. It has also been washed and Nikwax treated in the last 10 months. Also. The engine exhaust system has recently been shot blasted back to bare metal and recoated using OEM stove paint.
The aircraft will be supplied with a galvanised steel road transport trailer (with ramps, winch and lighting board), training bars, trike cover, wing bag and packing kit and comprehensive document pack. Homemade hangar skates are also available.
Not quite a Quik or GT450, but an aeroplane with a good turn of speed for cross country flying plus slow speed performance and handling for operation in and out of small airfields.
Enquiries can be made with Robin on 07966 133153.
