THIS AIRCRAFT IS NOW SOLD. THANKS AFORS.
It was first flown in September 2018 and made a total of six flights. It last flew in September 2020. Currently dismantled and stored on its trailer, it's ready for its next adventure.
It's powered by a reliable Subaru V Twin 4-stroke engine, adapted for aviation and providing 48 hp. It has a belt reduction drive and a Hercules prop. With a wingspan of 23ft 6 inches, it's a genuine head-turner.
I’ve incorporated many enhancements beyond the kit, including a steerable tailwheel and brakes, ensuring a high-quality finish and improved functionality. It’s finished in a historically accurate livery, representing an aircraft from 11 Squadron Royal Flying Corps, and even received a Commendation at the LAA Rally during its build.
This aircraft is fully compliant with the Single Seat De-Regulated (SSDR) category. With a gross weight of 300kg and an empty weight of 193kg, there's 107kg available for pilot and fuel. It's currently set up for pilots weighing 70-90kg and up to 6ft tall, with scope for adjustment.
Included in the sale are a road-going trailer (un-enclosed), a fantastic 7/8 scale replica Lewis Gun, and a period leather helmet and goggles.
