Last remaiming share in G-ZODY, our Rochester-based Zenair CH 601 UL microlight - remains available.
The aircraft was built by previous owners in 2005 and we have owned her since June 2021, during which time we have upgraded a number of items including fitting new radio, replacement canopy and trim, interior, bungees and other miscellany.
The aircraft was last month given a full once-over by the UK distributor as part of PtF renewal and canopy replacement; current permit runs until June 2024.
G-ZODY is a delight to fly and an excellent first step for someone looking to get into a group, or for anyone wanting low-cost fun flying. Handling is incredibly benign, the stall is a non-event and she cruises comfortably at 85kts consuming just 13 lph, so very economical to run.
The aircraft was purchased following the formation of a 6 person syndicate at Rochester. All members get on very well; bookings are managed via Shlott and there is excellent availability at all times. All comms and documents are managed digitally via Google Drive or using our WhatsApp group with regular get-togethers and socials.
No landing fees are due at Rochester; hourlies are £40 inclusive of fuel, but deduct from that whatever you spend on fuel if bringing it yourself. Monthlies are currently £71. There is currently a healthy surplus fund for replacements / contingency as needed.
Two shares originally available, but one is likely to go this week leaving the final share left. Group members leaving due to purchase of their own aircraft.
There are two Rochester-based instructors available to support with familiarisation training as required.
