X-air Falcon Jabiru 2200a G-CCOH
Aircraft originally constructed in 2004.
I purchased the Falcon in Oct 2016, minus the original Verner 133 engine.
The aircraft in Oct 2016 had done around 75hrs total from new.
At the same time I commissioned aircraft agent X-air UK to refurbish the plane.
The work involved the supply and fitting of new fuselage and flying surface skins in white Dacron cloth to replace the original blue and red skins.
A donor Jabiru engine (serial No 22A-2955) originating from another X-air aircraft was supplied and fitted.
The engine came with full documented history and maintenance records including evidence at the time of a recent engine overhaul, documents available with the aircraft. The Jabiru engine upon fitting had recorded around 480hrs.
New approved wooden propeller also fitted.
All work including permit was completed in June 2017 the Falcon was delivered by air courtesy of X-air UK to my strip in Lancs.
I have had a enjoyable six years flying the Falcon.
The Jabiru engine has proved totally reliable, giving no problems what so ever, the airframe and engine work well together, 12ltr per hour at 70mph gives a range of 4hrs plus reserve. Under 10ltr per hour is achievable if flown slower.
I operate out of a 300m grass strip with trees either end without drama.
The aircraft has BMAA permit to fly valid till 24th July 2024.
Skins are still like new, the plane is hangered with indoor covers.
New lexan for screen and doors recently fitted and new tyres.
Overall a fresh clean reliable aircraft which will serve any new owner well.
Currently as of 9th Sept 2023 175 total airframe hours 583 total engine hours.
