£500 cash back when you get your Gyroplane licence with us.
For existing flying machine licence holders (not necessarily current). I will personally give them £500 cash back when their Gyroplane licence is issued.
Forget any preconceived ideas you may have about Gyroplanes being dangerous. They are one of the safest forms of aviation. The old and deserved reputation came about purely because the only way to learn was solo flying in a single seat machine. In a modern two seat machine the training process is a totally different, safe and enjoyable experience.
To get your Gyroplane licence and experience the fun of Gyroplane flying you need instruction.
A minimum of 25 hours is required but 10 hours of that is supervised solo flying.
Only one paper test, Gyro technical, this is still in the old paper multi choice answer format.
About two thirds of the questions are really aircraft technical and one third gyro related so as a licence holder you should be two thirds there already. Pass mark 70% as normal.
The flying test is 60 to 90 minutes long followed by a short oral test. Nothing an existing pilot won’t be familiar with.
Instruction is £200 per flying hour which with briefing etc will be about 2 hours in total.
Introductory flights from £80.
Here at Beccles airfield we have wonderful facilities, very good quality accommodation, Restaurant quality food at Cafe prices and even car hire all on site. You could also squeeze in a parachute jump whilst you’re here.
