G-BZXB Van's RV-6, 180 hp, 2002 build
I intend retiring gracefully from flying at the end of 2024
As a progression towards that we are changing the current two-person group into a three person group. At the end of the year I will then leave
Plenty of images around on the interweb, but few will show the leather cockpit upgrade and new harnesses fitted earlier this year.
About 1400 hours on engine and airframe with good compressions and an engine fund exists. Excellent availability. Aerobatic approved.
Remaining owner is ex-RAF Engineer and an all-round good chap. He has been the driving force behind our continuing programme of upgrades and improvements. The aircraft is housed in a modern, dry hangar, positioned next to the door on Tibenham airfield (Norfolk Gliding Club)
The airfield has three vast concrete runways, so crosswinds are not a huge issue.
Tailwheel experience definitely preferred, though this is a very benign taildragger and rarely bites. Owner maintained, we'll teach you how, it's not rocket surgery. Permit will run to May 2025.
