Based at Abbots Bromley, north of Birmingham, this project is available for sale.
The fuselage is intact and the wing is signed off without damage, primed and ready for fabric. The undercarriage is currently a little bent and will want work/replacement. This was discovered during the annual inspection (probably a one wheel down first, cross-wind landing a bit sideways) and there was no acccident per se.
Included is the following:
Evra Prop
Re-covering materials; Stewart Systems incl fabric
New D120 tyres (plus bent undercarriage legs)
Trig Radio - TY-91
Trig Mode S Transponder - TT-21
PilotAware (Integrated w/ YK intercom/radio)
0-200 Engine, ~700hrs since TO
Misc spares/tools
Airframe w/ new cowls, wings primed and ready for fabric
Spare Windscreen.
This is everything you need to put YK back together again apart from the undercarriage. You'll need to either source the material (after which it's apparently an easy job), find spare legs or switch to a different u/c type.
Once flying YK is a lovely 2 seater with 250kg useful load, a 95Knt cruise @21lts/hr, and loads of leg room (head room too with skinny cushions). The short field performance is reasonable and the proper airbrakes set her apart from other Jodels marks.
The value of the constituent parts (even used) is far greater than the asking price as a project but it's our hope the YK will return to the air again one day.
Incidentally in theory YK could be made IFR compliant whilst still a permit aircraft!
