Details:-
This delightful taildragger is a joy to own, fly and display, with no nasty handling characteristics.
Now based at Duxford where it is regularly displayed, however the new owners will need to relocate. I am only selling this aircraft because I need the space at the IWM for my current build.
This is a single seat, 7/8 Scale Replica of a SE5a, currently carrying the distinctive paint scheme of Captain William A “Billy” Bishop, Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a, Serial Number 8936, NO 60 Squadron Royal Flying Corps (RFC), 72 Aerial Victories, 1917.
Recent Work:-
2020 – Airbox rebuilt and new filters fitted.
2024 - New engine mounts fitted.
Please Note:- Trig radio currently fitted, but this will be removed prior to sale. We can supply a replacement in the form of a Yaesu Handheld radio if you wish (this will not be fitted, and you will need to obtain a radio licence). Microavionics ¼ wave aerial fitted, this will be left in the aircraft.
Viewing:- Can be viewed at Duxford by appointment (will be on static display at forthcoming Airshow on Saturday October 5th).
