Tie downs available at Chilbolton Airfield

Chilbolton Flying Club is a small, friendly private aviation club based 5nm SE of Andover, in North Hampshire. The club comprises around 50 members, flying a wide range of aircraft, including weight-shift microlights, 3-axis microlights, and Group A light aircraft.

The runway is on chalk so is usable all year (no mud!) and is regularly maintained by the club with our own large grass mower. The runway length is 411 metres.

The Club HQ (Caravan) has WIFI, tea, coffee and snacks available together with toilet facilities.

Water and a hose is available to wash aircraft and we also have a recovery trailer should this ever be needed for club members.

Currently we do not have fuel but this is readily available from local garages.

Unfortunately at the present time there is no hangarage available.

The site is fenced with a lockable large security gate. The club has also recently installed a wide angle security camera to cover the whole airfield which further enhances the security of the site.

The airfield has a Certificate of Agreement with Border Force so flights to Europe can be made direct to and from the airfield.

The club is very active and we organise BBQs in the summer and other events.
