For sale is one of two ZJ-Vieras registered in the UK. I bought this as a project a couple of months ago, but it's taking up too much space in the hangar, and I have too many projects going on as it is.
It's a very lightweight, all composite/ceconite, cantilever construction. It was built in 2008 and first flew in 2010. It last flew in 2022. If you Google 'G-FLEE', you'll see some pictures of it flying.
The engine that came with it was water damaged after being stored outside, so I have swapped in a DLE200 with fewer than 2 hours on it. The engine was broken in seperately, but when it's been fitted to this aircraft, we've lost spark. We wired it up fairly quickly just to get it running, so likely a simple fix/loose connection. It may also be the new spark plugs
So far since buying it, we've:
- Cleaned the fuselage and wings down. The aircraft is in nice, presentable condition as it is
- Fitted the new engine, which required a new mounting plate, as well as a new prop spacer
- Made and fitted a new throttle quadrant (the old one was a choke handle off a lawnmower)
- Wired in the start system (although, seemingly incorrectly)
- A few other bits, new hardware in places, etc.
- Bought a new battery
Work that still needs doing:
- The starting system needs sorting out. The schematic looks quite simple
- Routing and cable-tying the wiring
- The paint on the nose cone could do with tarting up
It comes with a custom-built open trailer, which pulls like it isn't there. It derigs exactly like a glider.
I've got all the paperwork including logbook.
Note that this is still a project aircraft - we haven't flown it, and you will need to do a few jobs before you do.
Also note that this is classed as an SSDR microlight, not Sub-70kg, so you will need a licence to fly it.
Delivery available anywhere in the UK or continental Europe (at cost price, and subject to when I'm free to do so).
99p start with no reserve. Could be open to swaps, show me what you've got, etc.
Aircraft is located near Prudhoe, Northumberland.
Sold as seen, etc.
Any questions, do ask.
Cheers
