We are very reluctantly selling our beloved 1963 Piper Comanche 250 due to business expansions. We have owned and cared for this aircraft for over 10 years, extensively upgrading it over that period, namely;
Carrying out a bare metal respray (sanded, not paint stripped, to preserve the superior Piper factory corrosion proofing the comanche line recieved in Lock Haven)
Carrying out an engine overhaul perfected by fitting an STC'd Firewall Forward camshaft modification, the camshaft is drilled and fed with oil pressure to deter the usual Lycoming camshaft issue - bolted to a stunning, freshly overhauled Hartzell scimitar 3 bladed propeller - with cooling padels to aid engine cooling.
Extensive avionics upgrades, installing a Bendix King ADF, DME and KX165A, later followed by an Avidyne IFD 440, Garmin G5 HSI and STec 55x autopilot - fly fully coupled ILS approaches all the way down to minimums knowing you are in the safest of hands.
Fitting bespoke seats, fly across the continent without pain, these seats were custom moulded for comfort - not just a pretty face!
The 1000 hour gear AD carried out to the highest order, including sought after Teflon Main Landing Gear conduits - no longer available and superior to anything on the market.
Installed a 1 piece windscreen, windscreen cowler speed kit and wheel well speed kits and rosen sunvisors among much more.
This aircraft has been meticulousy maintained with love and care - we are an aircraft maintenance company that specialise in the Comanche line. This is our own personal aircraft, it needed to be something special.
G-ODAL has just been imported onto the UK register, previously registered as N61970, we imported it to enable easier continental trips moving forward, but are now regretfully selling.
