Cessna 182S

EI-GSM is a well-known and well-travelled 1998 Cessna 182S that has been used exactly as the type was intended. Regularly flown IFR across Europe, this aircraft has proven itself as a genuine touring machine rather than a hangar queen, and it shows in the way it operates and presents. The airframe currently stands at 4,469 hours total time, and the aircraft has been maintained on the Cessna Progressive Care AMP, with complete logbooks from new, reflecting consistent ownership and proper stewardship throughout its life.

Power comes from a Lycoming IO-540-AB1A5, producing 230hp, with just 299 hours since overhaul, paired with an upgraded three-blade McCauley propeller showing 559 hours since overhaul. With a useful load of 1,134 lbs, EI-GSM remains a practical four-seat aircraft with real bags-and-fuel capability.

The avionics suite is well thought out and proven, centred around a Garmin GTN 650 WAAS, dual Garmin G5s, and a KAP 140 two-axis autopilot, giving the aircraft strong IFR capability without unnecessary complexity. This is a cockpit that works, day in and day out.

Cosmetically, the aircraft retains its original OEM paint and interior, presented in a classic Cessna scheme that still looks right on the ramp and reflects careful, honest use. EI-GSM is currently operated out of Weston and is capable of operating comfortably from short grass or tarmac strips from around 400 metres, opening up a wide range of airfields across the UK and Europe. An experienced pilot pool and management support can be made available if required, giving a new owner the option to buy and sell hours to help offset the costs of ownership.

From a maintenance perspective, the aircraft’s ARC is valid through to 3rd September 2026, with the next scheduled Operation 3 maintenance check due at 4,492 hours. An immediate option for FAA US registration and airworthiness is also available, offering additional flexibility for overseas buyers or owners who prefer a US-registered aircraft.
