PA-38-112 Tomahawk - SOLD United Kingdom
1979 Piper Tomahawk G-RVND S/N: 38-79A0545
Priced to sell at £11500 GBP – no VAT
Don't make silly offers - if it doesn't sell for this (or a VERY near offer I will buy it from the owner and lease it!)
ARC/Annual expiry 3rd Sept 2019
Hours (in current school use so this will increase)
Airframe:8224:55 (wing extension mod NOT carried out. Wings have 2902:45 until this needs to be done)
Engine: 2436:55 (last OH: 16/02/2010)
Very good paint and interior (plastic panels all replaced in 2013) and Garmin 430.
Engine just going onto extension (still eligible for school use as less than 20% as per GR24).
Prop due overhaul imminently and engine high time hence priced to sell. For private use on an SDMP the owner can now decline the prop overhaul and run the engine indefinitely (as long as it continues to be ok internally).
The aircraft has been meticulously maintained since being bought by current owner in 2013. Maintenance records are available on request and you will see just how much work has been done keeping this aircraft in very good condition. It has just had the forward fin spar plate (lifed item) replaced so that is one large expense not due again for another 2800 hours.
This aircraft has the uprated leg attachment bolts (SB1200 – recently replaced for new) and small wheels which are better than the bigger wheels as they weigh less and cruise faster.
I am away from now until June 1st (try email info(insert)pureaviation.co.uk but I won’t guarantee to reply) but the aircraft is available to be viewed and test flown (at your cost so no freebies I’m afraid!) at Merseyflight (https://www.merseyflight.co.uk/ ) who have leased the aircraft for the last 6 years. There is an option for the aircraft to continue to be leased to Merseyflight which would go a long way towards covering your costs meaning you own a seriously subsidised aircraft. I’m not going to lie and say it will make you money as that is a very tough ask in today’s light aircraft leasing market but it could save you tens of thousands a year over you owning your own aeroplane. If this is of interest then get in touch for more details.
Reason for sale – current owner moving on to other things and no longer wants to lease light aircraft.
