This hanger was in use for many years on a farm strip until it was removed at the end of last year. The first four pictures show the hanger when it was still in regular use. The next three pictures show it as it was being dismantled and the next four pictures show it as it is now, dismantled and ready for transport. The final picture is a diagram that was used in 2015 to have a new front “door/curtain” made. The hangar was originally constructed to hold a Jodel (although it has held many other models over the years) and is approx. 36 ft wide at ground level, 7 ft 6 ins high down the ridge line and approx. 25 ft deep. It is of tubular steel construction, bolted together then covered with sheep wire netting and then a heavy duty tarpaulin cover. The front is a tarpaulin curtain fastened at the top and clipped to a cable that runs across the floor at the front to fasten it down. The rear wall was originally covered with wooden boards and was designed to be able to take a door and window but for most of it’s life it has been covered with corrugated tin sheets. It has a supporting strut at the rear to keep it rigid which normally would project out at the back but as you can see in the dismantling photos it has been used for many years with the strut assembled inside because of limited access at the rear. The frame is basically solid although it requires a couple of brackets rewelding as they were dislodged during dismantling. The arches are each in 2 parts and have been marked to identify which fit where. The corrugated sheets and the tarpaulins have obviously seen better days but would be serviceable unless/until replacements were sourced. They are included in the sale, as is all of the sheep wire and a bucket of the original bolts, nuts and washers. It also comes with the ground tubes and anchor posts/brackets etc. It will need a trailer/truck capable of carrying approx. 18ft length tubes as well as all of the associated sheets, wire etc.
