This Commander 115 is a destination airplane for most PPLs. It is the second-to-last serial number Commander 115 ever made and the pinnacle of a long aircraft line with roots back to the P51 Mustang. With just 998 hours of total time and built in 2001, this is truly a prime condition aircraft. The owner has a deep business connection in delivering the best GA piston engine overhauls in the market. He wanted an aircraft for a reliable commute to and from the Channel Islands, and nothing was spared in the maintenance of G-HPSL. When the crankshaft AD came out, the owner found out some non-Lycoming parts had been used in the engine repair, so he had the engine removed and repaired a second time with only genuine Lycoming parts. Hopefully, that little example provides insight into the care that was shown to this aircraft, which is hangered and available to demonstrate at Kemble.
The panel has been generously upgraded, with Garmin GTN 750, GTN650, and GTX 330 on top of the valuable 3-axis Bendix King KFC 225 factory autopilot option. Other items that would have been fitted at production would be the EDM 800 Engine Monitor, Co-Pilot Instruments, Second Alternator, and Air Conditioning. The ruffled grey leather seating is just a great roomy place to be, wider and more comfortable than many twin-engine aircraft. There are so many great features and upgrades on this aircraft, we would love to show them to you in person. The pulsing LED lights just add to the incredible ramp presence of the aircraft; there is nowhere you could show up that this aircraft won't get admiring glances.
Maintained at RGV, the ARC is valid until 23rd June 2023, and the annual is valid through to 31st August 2023. The McCauley 3-Blade prop was fitted new in 2018 and has 38 hrs SNEW. The basic empty weight is 2223lbs, and the 3250lbs MTOW provides for a 1027lb useful load. Prime condition aircraft like this are a safe place to invest, and we know the new owner will get reliable and enjoyable flying for years to come.
