Commander 114

Wilco Aviation is pleased to exclusively offer this loved Rockwell Commander 114 powered by a reliable Lycoming IO-540-T4A5 260 HP engine overhauled in 1996 and a top-end overhaul in 2015. Charlie Hotel, located in the Southwest of England at Newquay Airport, benefits from an interior upgrade & a fresh-looking panel.

Over the years, the early variants of the Model 112 were perceived as underpowered and having limited load capability. The manufacturer addressed these problems in November 1975 with the Model 114, of which more than 1,100 were delivered.  In the late 1970s, Rockwell sold most of its aviation assets; Gulfstream obtained the Commander series, but no production took place.

The Rockwell International Commander 114 was introduced in 1976 as the logical follow-on to the Commander 112, the first single to be certified under Federal Aviation Regulations Part 23. The basic difference between the two models was the engine: a 200-horsepower Lycoming IO-360 in the 112 a 260-hp IO-540 in the 114. The 114A Gran Turismo, which featured a higher gross weight, replaced the 114 in 1979. That was the end of the line for the Rockwell singles. Production ceased in 1979 after about 1,135 had been built, of which some 485 were 114s and 114As.

All AD’s & SB’s complied with.
