Liberty XL2 for sale.
220 total time from new. Garmin avionics,
Continental IOF240 FADEC engine.
18 litres per hour, comfortable touring aircraft.
The only Liberty XL2 operated on a 'Permit to fly' Sold with new permit, cover and spare prop,
always hangared.
A few photos of the aircraft interior. As you can see it has the Deluxe trim together with a full IFR panel, [all electric], Micro vision engine instruments which are 'top of the range' it's nice to simply fly on 'Percentage power' rather than engine rpm and manifold pressure. All Garmin certified avionics including the 430 GPS/radio/VOR/ILS. The engine is the latest FADEC [full authority digital engine control] Teledyne Continental IO240F equipped with digital ignition and electronic fuel injection giving 120 bhp. At fifty per cent power I cruise at 105 Kts ias for a fuel burn of approx 18 litres per hour so it is a very economical tourer.75% cruise will give 125 Knots.
The aircraft was certified for night IFR operations. It is serial number 8 and was delivered [air freight] brand new to the Dubai air show, I then flew it from there on a demo tour of the Middle East, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia before flying it back to the UK via Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia and France. I used the aircraft as a UK demonstrator for approx 6 months. It has only been flown by myself as pilot in command.
I purchased the aircraft from the company for my own private use putting it onto the UK register and operating it on the 'permit to fly' system.
It is a super two seat touring aircraft and I have enjoyed many trips around Europe and the Scottish Western Isles over the last few years. It has always been well maintained by myself and kept in a hangar at Wombleton, North Yorkshire.
The aircraft has never given me any trouble or let me down, the only reason that I am considering selling it the fact that the airfield/hangar that I use is being sold and we have to leave.
I have a spare propeller and exhaust for the aircraft plus wheel spats and other spares, it is open to any inspection you or your inspector/engineer would like to make and I will give it a 'fresh service/inspection' before it leaves.
