We are seeking interest from pilots who fly 3 hours a month or more for a new non-equity flying group at White Waltham based around a brand new Aquila A210.


The Aquila is an exceptionally well-built and equipped 2-seater in the ?Very Light Aircraft? category, and is the only aircraft in this class to hold an EASA Certificate of Airworthiness. Equipped with a 100hp Rotax 912 engine, the A210 can cruise at up to 125-130kts TAS burning only 17-20 litres per hour of MOGAS, giving it a range of over 600nm with reserves. It also has an impressive useful load of 250kg (the MTOW is only 750kg!), which means that it can carry two real adults and up to 40kg of baggage with full fuel, making it perfect for exploring Europe! The Aquila is also fully certified for VFR Night flight, so you can make the most of the winter nights and can also undertake training for your night qualification in the aircraft.


In terms of equipment, the specification of the particular Aquila A210 that will be used for this group will include a Garmin G500 glass cockpit with PFD and MFD, a Garmin 430 GPS/NAV/COMM, a Gamin SL30 COMM unit, a Garmin GTX-328 Mode-S transponder and a 406mhz ELT to ensure that you have everything you need for flying in Europe. The aircraft will be brand new from the factory in Berlin, and will only have delivery hours on the engine and airframe!


This group has been specifically designed to cater for pilots who fly more than 3 hours per month, and the pricing reflects this. The group size will be 10 members, and the monthly rate will be ?70.00. The hourly rate will be ?138.00 wet and will be charged from takeoff to landing, so taxi time is free! This rate applies for the first 3 hours of the month, but any subsequent hours flown in the same calendar month will be charged at a discounted rate of ?123.00, making it sensible to fly as much as possible! There will also be no landing fees, making this an affordable way of flying a brand-new, well-equipped aircraft.
