Kolb Mk3 Xtra

Three Axis Microlight for sale, Kolb Twinstar Mk 3 Xtra, £12,500

G-Cody was built by myself in 2007 to a high standard
The Kolb is a lovely microlight to fly with unparalleled visibility with roomy and comfortable cockpit and seats
Cruise speed of 70 to 75 kts with a fuel consumption of 12 litres/hr solo or 13 to 14 with a passenger
The engine is the Jabiru 2200 four stroke four cylinder with hydraulic lifters, fitted with iridium spark plugs, total engine running time is only around 120 hours,
Total airframe and engine hours 120 hours
1000ft/min climb rate
stall speed 34mph
If needed the wings and tail can be folded by one man in 20 minutes to enable the aircraft to be stored at a lower cost in a hangar or in a trailer
Fitted with full instrumentation
Hydraulic toe brakes
Landing/visibility light
Twiggy in line fuel flow meter
Propeller is a 62” x 41” Prince P tip ,which is a carbon fibre covered wood prop with curled over prop tips which reduces vortices and improves efficiency
Permit until Nov 2016 but new permit can be arranged at point of sale
Ground handling is made easy by the tailwheel dolly shown in the photo
I had covers made by Vertigo Covers for the fuselage ,wings ,engine and prop as shown in one of the photos and are included in the sale, they’ve done a good job keeping the aircraft in really nice condition
Although the Kolb is a taildragger, the long tail boom and wheel position make ground handling very good
The Kolb has always been kept in a hangar in North Lincs where it is currently hangared,
Only reason for my selling the Kolb are health issues which restrict my flying so regretfully she has to go, contact John Codd on 07813 668349,
