J430 £47,500

For sale – Jabiru J430, one of the very few types of four-seaters on the UK LAA register (permit to fly)

Built in the UK in 2009. MTOW 700kg, empty weight 366 kg. 124 litres useable fuel load. Six-cylinder engine, very smooth, producing 120HP. Well maintained, very aerodynamic aircraft, can easily do 110 knots at 22 litres per hour of UL91 (or AVGAS), so better than many GA aircraft and more efficient. Spacious interior, especially the rear, and so great for touring; we’ve taken her to France, Scotland and Ireland.

Flies beautifully, only selling to move up to an aircraft capable of night and IFR. Really easy to fly, and a natural step up for anyone who’s learnt on a microlight as it has a central control column and can be flown on an NPPL with the SSEA rating.

Aircraft recently went through major service which included exhaust valve replacement, plus addition of full engine monitoring on all six cylinders and an EFIS. Aircraft being sold with custom cover. Airframe has just over 1550 hours, engine just over 700. Looking for offers in the region of £47,500.

It has electric flaps, continuously variable, which are fun. She's currently living at Draycot Farm in Wiltshire. The max weight on the rear seat is 120kg, and you can also put 20kg I think on the rear shelf. The brakes are controlled by the vertical arm topped with a black wooden horizontal cylinder just in front of the control column.

The trim is the vertical arm immediately below and to the side of the brake arm (there's one each side, so a pilot from either side can operate). The throttle is again available either side, is the horizontal metal rod sticking out from the dashboard, push for more power, pull for less.

She has two wing tanks that feed into a common header tank, so doesn't need to be switched between tanks. Permit is due June 2024. Aircraft is undamaged; our philosophy has been that if anything gets broken, we fix it immediately.
