G-AXSZ is one of the finest PA28-140B's based at White Waltham and is meticulously maintained to a high standard regardless of cost, at the European Piper agents at Booker.

The engine was overhauled 3 years ago, now around 300 hours and SZ enjoys full VFR and IFR avionics, PLB, fitted Pilotaware, etc, and is well suited for newly qualified PPL, IMC flights, hours building or cross-channel jaunts. Our insurance allows post-PPL training for share owners, as approved by the CAA and WLAC. Membership of WLAC is required.

SZ had a heavy annual over summer this year with her wings inspected and reskinned/resprayed – Bascially new wings.

The well-run group has been established for several decades, includes a range of pilots from students to retired gentlemen, and encourages shared flights among members, thereby doubling your flying budget. We are also blessed with 2 instructors in the group, and the opportunity for informal mentoring by experienced members.

Aircraft availability is excellent and uses an online booking system. Monthly dues and wet hourly tacho rates are £100 respectively. In my expeirnece of flying SZ, by flying at a lower RPM the tacho rate is more like £90 PH.

The AC has been equipped to upgrade to dual AV30’s in the near future.

Having the AC at Waltham has the advantage that it's just turn up and go, rather than having to arrange for the groundcrew to get the aircraft ready.
