1/12 share for sale in this delightful Wag Aero designated J-3 Cub. The aircraft was rebuilt in New Zealand from an original J-3 fuselage/tail, with Wag Aero reproduction wings. The rebuild incorporated a 100 hp Continental O-200A with alternator plus electric starter, and a 7 Imperial Gallon fuel tank in each wing. The result is a J-3 Cub that can be flown solo from the front seat, cruises at 75 kt and is able to carry two 185 lb occupants with full fuel.

The aircraft is well maintained, hangared and based at Gloucestershire (Staverton) Airport. The group is friendly and well run. Availability is excellent. Each owner pays £70 pcm with a nominal flying rate of £70 per hour wet, including all local landings (half price for historic aircraft). It is very well equipped, including Trig VHF radio, Garmin G5 (GPS based PFD/HSI), Mode S transponder and Pilot Aware traffic alert. Price is £2,500 for 1/12th share.

Total time is around 3,000 hours airframe and engine (major overhaul 2021). Group funds include a contingency pot for the unexpected.
