This day has come. For sale is my 12.5% share in G-OODE, almost certainly the best-sorted Stampe SV4C in Britain.

Let's get the boring bit out of the way before we come to the meat of the advert. I'm selling 12.5%, but we’re currently revising the share structure, and the expectation is that following that revision everyone will own 1/7th of the group’s assets, with no additional financial outlay.

Now, for the fun stuff.

G-OODE is not just any old Stampe - she's a really famous airframe, brought into the UK by Richard Goode, one of the this country’s most prominent aerobatic pilots and engineers. Before he took custody of her, this airframe was a winner of the European aerobatics championship in the 1950s.

But vintage doesn't mean old. In the last year alone, she's had about 10 thousand pounds' worth of work done. Nothing has been left unimproved: from the engine, to the fabric, to the rigging, to the interior. She even has a new prop now.

And the group itself has also been revamped and revitalised, with some recent reforms.

There are six of us in the group, and availability is never an issue, - most flights are in the local area. If you want to take her away for longer, that's not a problem either: just let people in the group know what you’re planning.

Open-cockpit biplane flying is a privilege. It's something every pilot should experience at least once in their life. And the way she flies upside-down, - Oh. My. God. It's so elegant, so graceful. If you're unsure you can handle her, - don't fret. We have two instructors, of whom one is a member of the Stampe Formation Team and by far the best aerobatic instructor I've ever had the privilege to fly with.

We do expect people joining to have some tailwheel experience, but everything is negotiable.

So, then, if she's so wonderful, why am I selling? Well, two reasons. (1): Work and my studies have become so busy I can't give her the time she deserves. (2): I need the money after Mr. Putin dropped a bomb on the home in which I grew up in Ukraine. It requires repairs now, and - much as I like G-OODE - needs must.

Finally, the most important bit. The financials.

200/month and 155/hour, but the clock only starts ticking when the engine has been properly warmed up. We don't abuse her.
