We are selling 2 shares in our 6-person Zenair microlight group, based out of Rochester.

G-ZODY is an outstanding-performing Zenair CH 601 UL microlight that won last year's Microlight award in the Pooley's Dawn to Dusk challenge.

G-ZODY is a fantastic aircraft to own and fly. She performs brilliantly, cruising comfortably at 85 knots while sipping just 12 - 13 litres per hour.

The aircraft has been well looked after and we have run the group on the basis of 'no expense spared'. 2 years ago we had the bubble canopy replaced in full and this year we have had the interior upholstery fully replaced and refitted. Around this, the aircraft has been properly maintained and professionally inspected. We have a healthy engine fund if required.

The engine is a Rotax 912 ULS that has never given us any difficulty and continues to start first time. Performance-wise, we've flown ZODY into the tightest of farm strips and she has great short-field performance. That said, most people don't recognise that she is a microlight.

Landing fees are free at Rochester and the airfield is easy to access and fly from. All bookings are managed via Shlott.com and there is never any issue around availability. The group is welcoming, friendly and regularly meets up for social events.

For those needing familiarity on type, we have a locally-based instructor familiar with the aircraft who can help bring you up to speed as needed. However, ZODY is very easy to fly and incredibly forgiving.

Monthlies are £80 and hourlies are £45 (wet). We prefer UL91 but Rochester has been dry for a couple of years; in practice, most members bring their own MOGAS and then offset the cost against the wet rate.

If you're looking for something with great performance, easy handling and low cost then you'll be hard pressed to find much better at this price point.
