Chaos S9 Tiger 8,750€

Rans S9 “Tiger”. It’s actually a Chaos but converted to tri-gear. Tiger is almost an anagram of tri-gear, and she’s a pussycat to taxi and fly, hence the unofficial name. She’s what the S9 should have been in the first place. Rotax 532 but with twin electronic ignition. Easily as good as a 582. Rate of climb 900ft/min, and smooth power throughout the rev range. 1990 but only done 250 hours approx., and full history documented. Still flying. All modifications verified by AESA. 189kg net 305kg MTOW. With Rotax 532, light weight prop, battery and instruments, and 65kph stall speed, she’s registered as Ultralight in Spain. Aerobat twin blade 64” prop currently fitted, 183kph max @ 6550rpm. 151kph cruise at 5500rpm.
Twin fuselage-mounted, non-inverted, inter-connected fuel tanks for perfect balance, total 42 litres. 14.4 l/hour average consumption, gives 2.4hour range plus 30 mins reserve. 25L wing tank included but not fitted. Blaze 3 electronic flight instrument for RPM, ASI, Alt, ROC, voltage, atmos press and others if needed. Water temp and EGT gauges. Integrated Yaesu FTA-550 ProX radio and Aerotion headset. Strobes. Easy electric start and ready to go. Plenty of panel for more avionics.
Spares include original analogue instruments and spare 532 short engine, almost complete. Two spare cylinder heads. Ignition parts. Air filters.
She now has wing fold, rigged single-handed in 29 minutes, and lives on the trailer at home. There’s no water, electricity or toilet at the local airfield hence residence at home. The trailer is bespoke and has automatic ramps. Very light and stable to tow. So easy to load and unload. Will sell with or without the trailer.
Exported from UK to Spain 4 years ago (originally G-BSEE), and, because of Spanish rules, I’m not allowed to sell in Spain any time soon. Hence request interested persons from anywhere but Spain. Viewing and delivery in Europe by arrangement.
