This engine was manufactured in 2002 and fitted into an Icarus C42.
It clocked up 593.2 hours but was removed from the aircraft due to an unexplained vibration. The engine was taken to.Eccleston Aviation in August 2013 where it had a complete overhaul and full service with various engine components replaced. It was thus a fully reconditioned unit.
I purchased the engine from Eccleston Aviation in February 2015 as I intended to build a Skyranger Ninja.
However, the project was delayed and eventually abandoned and since then the engine has been stored in its original packing crate and kept in a stable environment. The engine is complete with gearbox, carbs, oil reservoir and exhausts. It has all its original documentation including the worksheet from Eccleston which shows what work was done and what parts were replaced.
As a separate issue I have a completer engine fixing kit for the Skyranger Ninja as well as a complete set of flying and engine monitoring instruments. They are all boxed as new.
